Scrutiny Truths

When was the last time your organization subordinated comfort to the pain of meaningful, substantive growth? Was the process fraught with resistance and emotionalism? In retrospect, was the organization ready for the stretch?

Five fundamental truths are worthy of reflection in determining organizational and/or individual readiness for significant change. All five involve the application of scrutiny, illuminating that which is out of alignment and provoking action to achieve realignment.

Neutralizing impediments to change requires sustained commitment and a willingness to endure prolonged discomfort. This session provides a context for increasing receptivity to scrutiny, helping leaders manage the growing pains attendant to change.

Structured to align with the five fundamental truths of scrutiny, this session will focus on:

  • The tension between need and want
  • When success becomes an impediment
  • How inaction can be falsely justified
  • Inversely related components of scrutiny
  • Comfort as a precursor of discomfort

Attendees will be equipped to help their organizations achieve and sustain a state of alignment between expectations and performance, between values and behavior, between priorities and process.
